CONSECRATION OF THE SOVEREIGN
GRAND LODGE OF MALAYSIA

The Sovereign Grand Lodge of Malaysia (G.L.M.) was Sponsored, Constituted , Dedicated and Established and Consecrated in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday 05th.November 2022 at The Pearl International Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by the United Grand Lodges of India (comprising of Grand Lodge of Upper India (G.L.U.I.) and the Grand Lodge of South India, (G.L.S.I.).
The august ceremony of dedication was witnessed and supported by two other Grand Lodges namely, The Grand Lodge of Queensland, Australia (G.L.Q.), and The Grand Logia Nacional de Filipinas (National Grand Lodge of the Philippines).
The President of the Council of The United Grand Lodges of India, Most Worshipful Brother Dr. Pritam Singh Egan, OSM, headed the consecration team assisted by the Grand Masters of the Grand Lodge of South India, (G.L.S.I.), Most Worshipful Bro. Erode Krishnamurthy Nagarrajen, and the Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Upper India, (G.L.U.I.), Most Worshipful Bro. Rakesh Mittal, and R.W. Bro. Harbinder S.Ranauta OSM, (Grand Master Elect of G.L.U.I.) acting as the Director of Ceremonies.
The Grand Lodge of Queensland, Australia (G.L.Q.) Most Worshipful Bro. Capt. Adel Amin, and the Grand Herald of GLQ, R.W. Bro. Bill O’Shea and the Most Worshipful Bro.Artemus G.Cruz, of the Grand Logia Nacional de Filipinas (National Grand Lodge of the Philippines). lent much support to the pomp and glamour to the whole festival.
The Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of South India,(G.L.S.I.), Most Worshipful Bro. Erode Krishnamurthy Nagarrajen installed the Inaugural Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Malaysia, Most Worshipful Bro. Akbal Singh Sandhu, a well-known Architect, Planner, and Building Surveyor who then invested his Grand Officers.
The ceremony was concluded with the Conveyance of Felicitations to the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Malaysia and its members by the President of the Council of The United Grand Lodges of India, Most Worshipful Brother Dr. Pritam Singh Egan, OSM.
Following the consecration all the participating Grand Masters exchanged amity agreements affording masonic rights of visitations between all the Grand Lodges with The Grand Master of The Sovereign Grand Lodge of Malaysia.
The evening was concluded with a Grand Festive Dinner accompanied with lively music and participation of Ladies of all brethren and visitors, not just masons in the region and but also prospective aspirants to this new sovereign masonic fraternity loyal to the Yang Di Pertuan Agung (King of Malaysia) all the State Sultans and State Rulers and to uphold the uniting spirit spelled out Rukun Negara for all Malaysians.
